She lays and blends the powder with her fingers to obtain a smooth and velvety texture. Technique: Yvette works the pastel like a painting medium, gradually applying successive layers to create volume, to exalt light and transparency. Clearly successful, she has been juried into the Société des Pastellistes de France exhibitions in 20 at Feytiat, Limoges, and with Pastels en Périgord in Saint-Aulaye in 2016.
In 2009, she discovered of pastel, and has concentrated on it ever since. Navigation: Roger has been designing websites for over twenty years, so one would expect his website to be state of the art, and in fact he has everything accessible on just one page. Style: Representational but in a painterly, impressionistic style. Roger loves to paint the wild beauty of the Cornish and Devon coast throughout the year, especially in the winter. Roger has had a solo exhibition at The Wharf in Tavistock and more recently at the Ashtorre Arts Centre on Saltash Waterside. Apart from providing him with marvellous surfing opportunities, the coastline (and landscape) of the West Country inspires and informs his work, which is predominantly in pastels, though he works in other mediums too. His early career as a signwriter provided him with graphic skills, and his love of surfing had him shape, decorate and fibreglass his own Longboards.
