Thistles can be used as a very weak trap. Thistles can be placed in flower pots, but have no real use except for decoration. Being eight times pricked by thistles, causes 2 ( ) damage, and eighty pricks can theoretically kill a fully healed player, and you recieve this death message: " Person was pricked to death." Unlike nettles, you have to sprint through it, to recieve the damage. Like nettles, it causes a quarter of a damage point.

The thistle is a plant found in most Middle-earth biomes, except for wastelands like Mordor and the Brown Lands. –The Old Forest, The Fellowship of the Ring No tree grew there, only rough grass and many tall plants: stalky and faded hemlocks and wood-parsley, fire-weed seeding into fluffy ashes, and rampant nettles and thistles.
